This February – Midlands – New Organising Conference is coming to you! NOC on the Road brings the spirit, skills and politics of the New Organising Conference directly into the Midlands, creating space for community and trade union organisers to learn together, sharpen their practice, and build relationships rooted in local struggles.
Thursday 26th February 15:00 – 19:30 – at Dunkirk Community Centre
Together, we’ll explore what it means to organise effectively in the current political moment, including confronting the growing threat of the far right, while developing practical, transferable organising skills you can take back into your work & community.
What to expect
● Practical organising sessions, including participatory strategy games focused on negotiating with power
● A deep-dive case study on organising Amazon workers, with lessons for reaching dispersed and precarious workforces
● Facilitated discussions on the political landscape and the far right
● Opportunity to learn with peers and converse across the movement
Who it’s for Community organisers, workplace and trade union organisers, and anyone aligned with the NOC approach who wants to:
● Strengthen their organising practice
● Build shared analysis across sectors
● Connect with organisers working on similar challenges
